That 90s State of Mind
Grow Up With Me
That 90s Kid Vibe
True Story
That 90s State of Mind, is a nostalgic but unsentimental look back at a decade that felt slower, smaller and somehow more human. The album moves through childhood memories, first love, scratched knees, mixtapes, dial-up connections, street games, old theatres, late-night phone calls and the strange feeling of having grown up between an analogue world and a permanently connected one.
Rather than romanticising the past, the songs contrast the freedom and imperfections of the 1990s with the noise, pressure and digital dependency of today. Some memories are funny, some tender, some uncomfortable, but all of them come from the same question: what exactly did we lose when the world became faster?
Musically, the album draws from the sounds that shaped the decade, alternative rock, Britpop, trip-hop, dream pop, power pop and acoustic indie, using warm guitars, live drums, melodic bass, analogue textures, cassette saturation and deliberately human performances. It is not a recreation of the 90s, but a record about what it feels like to miss them.
